    Default Mark Twain Lake

I've been fishing around Indian Creek, and Spalding the past few years the first week of may and just staying up north in the sticks and fishing the inlets. I havent really ventured out to much more of the lake. Am I missing out on some other good spots for crappie. I know nobody likes to give out their hot spots, but i dont wanna keep spinning my wheels in the same spots, but i also dont wanna waste a weekend looking for something good when i can just fish what i'm used to.

I like the first mile and half of Lick Creek. The western shore seems to be the best but if you look at a topo map that is self explanitory. Why do so many southern lakes have a Lick Creek??

"Lick" has two meanings that could explain that :

A lick is a small watercourse or an ephemeral stream. It ranks hydrologically between a rill, and a stream.

A Salt lick, a salt deposit that animals regularly lick.

At Rathbun we like to go way up the North Fork and South Fork early in the year. Does Twain hold good fish there too?
