Weather has beeen nice, so I proceeded with Jon Boat. Decided to go with aluminum flooring. Could not get aluminum local, so I ordered some panels from metalsonline.com. I have been measuring and cutting carefully. This stuff ain't cheap....Shipping ain't either, but this floor should last me lifetime. It is starting to take shape finally. labill been real helpful with this project. Thanks Bill. I gotta get this project wrapped up soon. Me yard at the lake is over run with brushpiles. Looks like you've done a pretty good job. I'm not confident enough in myself to get out on a lake in ANYTHING I helped build.

I can swim, probably better than a fish, but I'd rather not have to swim AND try to save all my fishing stuff. :D
All in all you're just another fish on my wall.

Looking good. In some respects I wish I would have started from scratch. I think I would have put more love and thought into where things are. That's what I get for having a bass boat though, the name should have gave it away. You know I should have bought a crappie boat.:D

Aluminum panels are .125 and I run extra stringers ( al T bars to support it). This is the fourth time to redo the deck floor. Wood only lasted 5 to 8 years. This boat is a sentimental toy only. Bought it in 1962. I use it for putting out brrushpiles, etc. and take it up narrow channels where I cant/want take me good boats. Runs good and reliable. Never broke down on me or left me stranded over the years. Smokes like a wooden indian though..ha..I take pretty good care of it.
