Question on using Bamboo.

Does it make any difference whether the Bamboo is still green when you make your crappie beds or can you use dead bamboo? I am gonna use fresh cut, but i also know where some dead bamboo is that has already been cut.

No it don't matter it is going to die when you cut it anyway. Bamboo just last a long time under water. Depending on how long it has been lying around it may decay a little quicker, but you shouldn't be able to tell. The fish don't care, they just want structure. I make stake beds, use pallets, dead trees, live trees, bamboo, and anything I think will attract fish.
