I used to fish on Neatahwanta when I lived closer to it. Now I have three other small lakes close to home and a boat, so I haven't been out that way in a few years. A nice little lake with plenty of shore access. The only problem I've heard about with Neatahwanta is that during the summer, it gets blooms of blue-green algea, which is toxic. I don't think you'd have any problems in the spring - which is when you'll the best chance of catching crappie from shore.
