    Alright boys,

The wife is working tom and I am going fishing rain or shine. Prob won't go if it is coming a frog strangler. so what are your rainy day tips? I might go to my covered boat dock if it is raining to hard.

Just wondered what you guys would try tom in the wet stuff.

If I go, I'll be longlining shallow water first, then moving to 10'-15' if necessary.

Most important thing, try to keep the fish dry, and don`t let them drown in all this rain...sorry, I couldn`t resist...actually all the runoff may warm the water considerably, agree with starting shallow...

    Cool Rain-It's a good thing

Some of the best fishing days of my life were in the rain.
    Drizzle, Sprinkle or Pouring down.
Warm rain that is. When my toes get cold, shows over.
Anything that breaks the water surface gets things moving below it.
So many times we've seen the wind just stop and the fish stop as well.
Then a little breeze ripples the surface and here they go again.
To me it's just something wonderful sitting on the lake, just at sunbreak,
with a light mist or sprinkle & maybe a little fog.
    Thumbs Up

    Oh yeah, almost forgot.
I wrote a pretty good little article a few years ago about this.
I called it "Do fish Run for cover when it starts raining"
Yes they do. Cloudy conditions get the preditor fish out looking for a snack and
crappie do Run hide from them.

After all - Everybody likes to Eat Crappie.
