    Default cagle mill lake

Some friends and I are planning a crappie fishing trip to Cagle Mill The 3rd week of April. Does anyone have any tips or advice. We have never been there before and heard it was good for crappie this time of year. Also are there any other lakes in the area to try we will be down for three days. This will be our frist trip fishing for crappie.
    Thank you for the help

If you don't know the lake it is a hard one to fish. No visual structure, but there are several areas with underwater stumps. Fish are running small this year, most are in the 8" to 9 1/2" range. You may get an occasional 11, 12, or 13 incher, but they are few and far between right now. If you have a map look for the points with 15 - 25 foot of water.

Thanks for the help. We are coming from LaPorte IN. I will post how we did and where we fished as soon as we get back. Every little bit helps. Don't forget we are not coming down till April.
