Forest Lake- Kirksville

Just wondering if any one fishes Forest Lake in Thousand Hills State Park and if so if you could give me some info on the lake and the crappie in it. I am taking a trip with my grandpa in May and was just doing some research. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

nice lake 90 hp max crappie fishing good but size not so good

Any info on this lake? We're leaving Sunday to head that way. Just trying to see what's working and what's not.

Heading to Centerville tomorrow to look for morels. Any good spots around there?


Just kidding... Any of your basic crappie techniques will work fine in Forest Lake. The size is not what you would hope for but if you want to catch some fish they should be on the banks at least in the upper ends.
Try some red/chartruese slider jigs around laydowns.
