    Wink Percy Priest Crappie

Crappie fished JPP on Wednesday afternoon from 4:00pm-7:30pm and caught 35-45 crappie and kept 24 over 10". Most of the fish were in the 10-11" range, but one nice fish was just over 14". We fished the Bryant's Grove area with minnows Kentucky rigged over wood structure in 16-27 ft. of waterwith the water temp. at 67 degrees. Still a lot of crappie with eggs in them. Talked with one other angler that was in the same area and he advised that he had caught 16 keepers in shallow water near the bluff walls with minnows and a float set at 3-4 ft. I think the water fluctuation and unstable water temp. in the last month has lengthened the spawning time, but it has also caused the migration to the shallows to be less concentrated. It seems that the crappie in the last 2 weeks have been deep, mid-range, and shallow all at the same time and seem really hard to pinpoint at one depth range. This means be versatile and if one location/depth quits or lacks production of fish you need to change and find the scattered fish in one area or another.
Are there any other JPPer's out here besides Speck and I?
