Might be a good place to throw a crank at the shallows and crank back into deeper water. You're right about them liking the warming effect, you just have to wait for the sun to do it's thing. Usually a few hours into the day.
Hey does anyone crappie fish from the banks of the tenn tom on the rocks (i forget what they are called -- rip rap ??).
seems like the sun would heat up the rocks thus holding some crappie... but i am very new to this so i am just guessing.
thanks...brad

Welcome, Brad!!! I have never fished the rip rap there, but one thing is for certain... if I were going to sit on those rocks and crappie fish, I would also have rod rigged up to fish a redworm on the bottom. Whether you catch a crappie or not, I bet you find some shellcrackers, and it doesn't get much better than that!!!
thanks ! was hoping to get down there this weekend, but it looks like it'll be raining.
