What size Mr Crappie Hooks are you using for shiners I have used #1 and #2 but I seem to miss more fish on the #1 hooks what are the experts using and why? I also like the red over the Gold but I think thats just me not sure if there is a benefit

Use some #2 in MC, Started using #2, #1, And 1/0 in VMC Red Like #1 best unless using really small minows. Just ordered in some #2 and #1 Sickle hooks from Cabelas and have used them last 2 trips. Like them really well so far. Seem to hook farther back in mouth and everyone in top of mouth.
