    Unhappy Question about J&H Products

I've been trying to make contact with J&H Products for several weeks but I always get the fax machine and no answer from anyone. I was just wondering if the company has went out of business or if there was another number that I could contact besides the 1-517-381-5138?
I'm looking to order a Humminbird 1198c SI HD. I've always heard that they have the best price on the units. If anyone can tell me another place that sales them for a good price I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Cabela's, Basspro, Gander Mtn. But I would first go to ebay and check. You may get a deal.

This web site belongs to a friend of mine. He is selling the Hb units, though they aren't on the site yet. Give rickey a call, he will hook you up.

I was very close to buying from J&H, but after weighing
the risks against saving less than 10%, I went ahead
and bought my HB798ci HD yesterday at my local
Gander Mt. Better safe than sorry when this much
    money is on the line.

J&H had the lowest price on the web, about 10%
less than MSRP. Shipping quotes were very reasonable,
so they don't gouge in that respect. They replied to
my emails very promptly, although I suspect they
weren't reading closely enough. They failed to answer
some questions and I had to repeat myself two or
    three times to get answers.

Granted, my case is a bit unusual. I don't use credit
cards. Protections against fraud are limited when
using a postal money order . J&H didn't have the
HB798ci HD in stock (which appears to be the norm
for all web-shops). After my payment arrives, I must
wait for their next shipment. This meant they might
keep my cash for weeks before I get a tracking
number and proof of shipment. I just wasn't
comfortable with the arrangement, especially since
they have a rather under-the-radar web profile.

Overall, prices must approach 30% savings or
more before I feel the risk of dealing with small,
    anonymous web-shops outweighs the benefits
    of a local retailer.

I wouldn't buy from the big stores, why pay all the sales tax if you don't have to. Call Brian and BBG marine, they are a sponsor here and I'd bet the farm he'll beat the J&H price. Did for me on my last purchase.

Sound advice.....but JandHproducts is a good company. I've done business with them and BBGMarine and always gotten great prices and customer service. I've ordered back-ordered equipment and credit card was not processed until item shipped.

BTW, when I purchased last year, they were beating MSRP better than 10%.

You must have plenty of money!
