Good thing they focus on the following week to increase revenue by preying on the honest guy that plain forgets. Not.

I feel bad for the folks like me that lived most of their lives in the states that use March 31st as the expiration date and just plain forget this week is the expiration week.

One of the few things I like about Arkansas is the license is 1 year from when you purchase it. You have to check often to make sure your not expired.

On a side note. Make sure your trailers are up to date on registration. They were running the ramps looking for expired plates last month.

Last year I took my Dad's boat to Bull Shoals. He forgot to renew the trailer license and said we shouldn't go. I had the Walleye fishing bug so I threw caution to the wind and pulled it down there. When we got to the ramp, I looked to see who else hadn't updated their registration. Over 75% of the trailer had expired stickers on them. Fortunately the sheriffs weren't patrolling the ramps that day. That was a virtual smorgasboard. The kind that makes the Deputies giddy.

When I said he was "practicing for next week",I was refering to the 9" length limit that went into effect today at Wappapello.
I personally wish they'd left the permits alone and kept it expiring on Dec 31,but what the hell? Right now I have fishing and hunting permits from 5 different states in my wallet....they have 5 different expiration dates.
