never thought of that. I be darn, good one
charcoal is used in a variety of evryday things, and i know it absorbs moisture, and odor. does anyone use it in their tackle boxes to keep moisture from rusting hooks, and absorb any odor that may be in there?
never thought of that. I be darn, good one
also seems like it would work good to put in with hunting clothes, instead of buying expensive store bought scent eliminators. that is if you believe in the whole deer can smell ya thing.
I keep all the ones from buying shoes and use those. Free!!!
i just use the real lump charcoal you can buy for grilling. but yes the ones that come with packages work well also just not as easy to get a bunch of them.
use the little packs that come with you meds
Never thought of it
Go to your local pharmacy and get the ones from the meds. They just throw them away. My daughter works in the pharmacy and brings me 100's of them.
Fished with an older gentlemen that always carried a bar of soap in his tackle box to wash human scent off his hands, and avoid contaminating his tackle. I always thought his tackle box smelled like soap!
Never tried charcoal, but there's usually a leaky bottle off fish attractant in my box that takes care of odors :D
"They bitin' up river on that topwater"
I also use the absorption thingamajig in the prescription medical bottle. Put one or two of them in your Plano box. Problem solved. No more rusted hooks. Time to go fish.
