    Default Pre-fishing Yellow Creek

Well, I guess 3 weeks ahead of the tournament date is a little early to consider it pre-fishing :D but the wife and I are heading down to Yellow Creek on Saturday, since we've never been there, to check it out.

Talked to our buddy Brad Whitehead today, and he said they had been catching some really nice fish there. I'll let you all know how it turns out. Just remember... if I catch nothing, that probably means the fishing is REALLY good!!!! Rofl

I am really looking forward to next month's tourney!!!

To be honest, I don't think I'll know til I get there. Have never crappie fished Pickwick, and I'm totally unfamiliar with Yellow Creek. Think I'll probably start out casting roadrunners, and see what I can find. Depending on what I can find, will probably try pulling some jigs.

Man, what a gorgeous day!!! Yellow Creek is a beautiful spot. Very slow day. Fished from 7 - 3, with only 2 bluegill and a drum. Finally found them, and they were on for about 45 minutes before the wind really picked up and they turned off.

Ended up with 15 nice fish, nothing under 11". Wifey caught the fish of the day... 15" and 1.85 lbs. A HUGE thanks to jlittle23, for the pointers!!!
