Default Need help mounting 587 ci gps unit

I just bought the unit and i want to mount it up front. I dont want it on the deck where it might get kicked or somthing. I would like it higher up. Maybe waste high when i am sitting in the chair. If anyone else has somthing like this or any ideas please let me know. If anyone has done somthing different or has a totally different idea please fill me in. Thanks for any help

Look into one of the tall RAM mounts. Mine gets my 788 about 15 inches off the front deck but can be pushed out of the way when needed and lowered when running or trailering.

I saw a mount that Scott Echols made from one of his rod mounts that would be perfect for you. Hitekstuff.com
