Default 12 volt vs 100 electric knife

How does the speed (rpm) of the 12 volt knife compare to the 110? I have a Mister Twister that is fast, as in high rpm. I purchased a Rapala battery operated knife and returned it because it seemed the blades were working in slow motion with fully charged batteries.
I would like to buy a 12 volt knife, but not if they have the same rpm as the battery operated models. Any advice?

Thanks Hanr3, I am glad to hear it works for you. Would you mind telling me what model 12 volt knife you use?

I use the Rapala 12 volt/electric combo electric knife. I dropped the end of the plug and it broke so need to replace it for this year. I will replace it with an electric knife only this time. I thought I would be filleting a lot at the lake but cleaned the fish at home most of the time. The knife started to run slower the older it got. I have had it for 4 year with no problems except when cleaning the bigger fish. I may try the American Angler electric fillet knife this time. EB

I wore out a 12v American Angler and then bought a 110 American Angler. Both run the same speed. No complaints for @ $20 ea.

The 12 volts may be better built now than were back a few years ago but i have tried them in the past and while hooked to automotive type batteries and cleaning a lot of tough fish such as white bass, the motors would overheat and burn up. I have not tried the portable types. I clean fish at home so i will be staying with less expensive 110v units.
