We had the steel pins break from the welds on the center post and one of our seats. It will send you flying if you aren't paying attention when they break. Now I know why they aren't selling them anymore. Now I have to spend time doing modifications to make it safe.150 for junk

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
No problems outta mine either.
Just be careful, Greg and i are lucky we didnt both go in the drink!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The pin weld broke inside right at the base where you put the add a seat into your seat base at the floor..It was a bad bad deal....I will post pics tonight of what i am talkin about so you guys can check your own...Maybe beef up the weld..
Ok you two are busted I checked the Il. board before saying anything and no report from either one. now we all know you were fishing, So wheres the report. And where did you go.

Pull up "Home made add a seat" on the search engine at the top of the page and look at my version.
We went to Sangchris..Had a limit in an hour or so..Didnt wanna join the barrage of posts..Sometimes you just gotta bite your tongue when givin reports...I will say this, our 7 tourney fish were tipping 10 lbs..
This first picture is the pin that goes into the floor of your boat in the pedestal base..As you can tell, the weld broke which in turn allowed the pin to drop into the pedestal base in the floor of the boat...After this happened, one unequal movement and Greg and I almost went overboard as there was nothing holding up our base...
This picture shows how the pin broke from the add a seat..After the pin broke we were resting on top of the black round peice with hothing holding us in place when moving or rocking the chair..
This picture shows the cheap weld inside, spot welded in 2 spots only..
THis picture shows the attachment and how the pin originally is..
Just sayin, check your welds or wear a pfd when using the original add a seat..
