Question Need help with Ford limited slip

My nephew has a 2006 Ford F150 with a 3.73 limited sllip rear end...He said he feels a slip from the right rear wheel when he takes off & turns right..

He has 91,00 on the truck..When I use to change the fluid on the Chevys I would add an additive to the rear end fluid that supposedly help the clutches..

Has anyone done this on a Ford & do you think that changing the fluid will help?

    Thanks

Go to the Ford place Parts department and buy a bottle of friction modifier.....add it to the rear end oil. Funny thing....Ford reccomends it but they do not come from the factory with any installed. And to tell the truth two bottles even works better than one. You might have to drain out some of your rear end lubricant to make room for the friction modifier.

IF he has water int eh diff, you must drain and replace. Oil and water dont mix, and bearings dont like water.
Over time limited slips wear out. My son bought a used Dodge with what we thought was a rear drum brake problems, turned out to be the limited slip. The cheapest option was to buy a salvage yard unit and swap the axle out.
