Default Goose hunt this past weekend...

Well since I can't go Crappie fishing I went goose hunting instead. We hunted near lake Hudson on Saturday and had a phenominal hunt. The birds were late to fly but when they did it was group after group. There were 9 of us and we ended up with a 9 man limit of huge Canadas and and 5 snows.

Great hunt for sure. I drove to Eufaula on Sat. and all the crop fields and cattle feeding areas were loaded with geese and ducks.

That's great, proud for you and your hunting buddies....... very good job!:D

They were so busy getting a picture of their geese that they didn't notice the big flock of geese that flew in and landed right behind them........... hahahaha.

Stink, those geese did fly in while the pics were being taken. Must have been real hungry and the guys were camoflauged up very well. Not the first time I have seen that happen.

They were frozen to the ground and could not take off....the best decoys you can get are the live birds. I wonder if a crappie decoy would work? I used to hunt geese so much I got good enough to call them by mouth and had them land on top of of us a couple of times. I think George needs some Ivomec wormer.

LOL, I hope Leland you did not look up much when you were mouth calling. Those geese coulda let fly wid a load just before landing. Kinda lightening their load before touchdown. Ifn ya knows what I mean.
