You know you've done something right with your kids when your wife asks your 6 year-old daughter what she wants for Valentine's dinner and she says "Crappie, but I want daddy to make it. He makes it better than anyone." Then she went to the other room and asked my 2 year-old son what he wanted for supper for Valentine's Day, and he said "Daddy's Bappie (crappie)". Needless to say, we have a bag of crappie in the sink thawing out this morning.
But, you also know it is spring when you only have 2 bags left. Guess I need to go restock the freezer just as soon as ice is off. We'll see if the daughter and I can't do something about that soon!

Well, they didn't eat much supper...as I couldn't keep any on the plate while I was frying it. Just as soon as I dumped a basket full on the plate and reloaded the fryer again, my two kids came in and nailed it. It was a good valentines day meal...
