    Default Bobby Garland 2.5 scent wigglers


    Had anyone tried the new Bobby Garland scent wigglers? I boought some but I haven't tried them yet.

    I have been cutting one of the little balls off the scent wigglers and putting them behind the Baby Shad like crappie nibbles..It works Thumbs UpThumbs Up..Haven't caught many with using just the scent wiggler..Can't beat the Baby Shad..

    This spring i am going to try mixing olive oil and garlic powder, then soaking my plastic jigs in them
    and seeing if that works. It would be a cheap scent thing. Also thought about garlic and
    vaseline, again mixing the two, may be a stretch but it's a thought.

    I think that scent wiggler would be good if you pinched off the first segment and then fished the remainder on a 1/16 jighead

    That is a good idea. The other day my wife bought some garlic spread from walmart. It is garlic in butter. The garlic smell is strong. I am going to try some the next time i go out. Here is pic of it if anyone wants to try.

    They were made to break apart and use as a trailer type lure. I have used them whole, by themselves and caught good numbers of fish with them. The transparent green one, not sure the name of the color, have put fish in the boat.

    I can't say if it works for crappie, but if you want garlic scent, try JJ's Magic. Be warned, it's strong stuff! Be sure to keep it cool (i keep it in the ice chest in a little sealed container) and DO NOT spill it in your boat!
