Default Forced to skip a day's fishing

in order to spend the afternoon helping a group of old school buddies and friends devour about 5 bu. of oysters. The bivalves came straight from the Bay, were roasted slowly over a hardwood fire until they popped open. Slurp them up steamy hot & then wash down with an undisclosed quantity of adult beverage--yum, yum! It was tough duty, but someone had to do it! :D

    Fishing since '50!

Beer and Oysters, does it work for old dudes too?:D............Looks like a good time to me. I cant think of what I like best. Pig pickin, crab pickin, or oyster roast! Heck, Why not OD and do all three at the same time?

Those things will put lead in your pencil! Just in time for Valentines Day too! Looks delicious and nothing beats spending time with your buddies. Cheers!

We used to have pig pickins/oyster roasts a couple times a year with friends/co-workers. Life got in the way as we got married and started having families. That paired with strict rules for getting non civil servants through the gate pretty well killed the parties.

Glad you had a good time.
