He is one of the best......in fact there are several in the club that are really good..and
they, i mean they work at it.....Myself, i enjoy competing against the best of the best.
These guys will always take time to work with anyone, answer questions, show how to
do things and explain. They are not only good fisherman, but excellant teachers.
Things i have learned the past two years with this group have helped me greatly to become a better crappie fisherman. I went from a one or two method of fishing
to probably half dozen different things, which at times is the difference between a
bad day on the water to making something happen and comming home a winner.

Hey Fishin813, got some questions for ya about this tourney. I hear ones coming up on Lake Dorr. I am sure you will post the form to fill out.
    > Where is the launch going to be?
    > 7 fish limit, can you keep more and just weigh your biggest 7?
    > Can you have more than 8 rods in boat and only fish 8?
    > How is the start? Shotgun after every is in water or first come first serve?
    > When do you pay? That morning at ramp?
    > When do you need the forms filled out? Can I turn it in that morning?
    > Do you have to be a member of the "club" to fish or is it included in tourney fee?
Thanks for getting back to me!

Thanks Russ for asking these questions and we hope that you will come fish with us.
    1. Lake Dorr - we will launch at the Ocala Forrest boat ramp & camp ground - Fed. land
    site.
You can catch and keep as many as you want for day, however, can only bring 7 fish
to weigh in and they must be alive
You can have more than 8 poles on board boat, but can only have 8 poles in water at
    any given time.
Max. of 2 baits per pole - live or artifical bait may be used
More or less shotgun start, sign in morning of tournament, pay entry fee and can leave
dock area. Just cannot put a line in water until 7:am and all lines must be out of
    water 2:30 pm
There are no membership fees for Florida Crappie Club...........just come and fish with
    us..........
When you come to fish in am - See Darryl Cole (president of club) present you team
and pay entry fee. Nothing fancy........
If you fish 4 tournaments a year with the club, your team is qualified for the "Classic"
and its really a fun time..........you do not have to weigh in at every tournament, it
is your call but you are still quailifed.... Everyone is winner at Classic..................

We have 20 tournaments throughout the year.....in 3 divisions North -South & West

send me your e-mail address and i will send schedule & rules
