Prayers requested for Slab

We are all one family here on crappie.com and I know the power of prayer and the scriptures to comfort you in the passing of a family member. Ed's father passed away a few weeks ago. Only five people posted on his thread so far. He posted this in the memorial section. To me , with a forum this size, that is unacceptable after all Slab does for us all. I am concerned that it has been posted a while and there have only been five replies. I can only conclude that many of you have not seen his post. I too have lost a father and I know how he is feeling. Please take the time and let him know you are praying with him that God will comfort him in the name of Jesus. Thank you.

I'm very sorry. Been there Ed. Hang in there. I see it's been a few weeks. I hope you have a lot of support. Nothing can be said that will help, but time will help. It's just one of those things that never goes away entirely. Just know we care. I wish you had posted here in the first place so we could all have known.

As far as the memorial section is conserned, I never said anything about it, but I always thought it was a bad idea. 1. Why? This is a fishing forum. 2. No one will go there except the people who wanted it in the first place and they probably don't either. I won't go there. It's morbid. 3. I think it's fine for people to post notices in this category on the main board when needed where people will actually see it. This post being a good example. A very important passing happened and no one noticed. Now it's been weeks and we never got a chance to express our condolences when it would have helped more.
