    Default Ponyhead jigs

So where do I find some ponyhead jigs with the blade? Is there any members that make these?

Yes, blue ... quite a few, actually. Now, whether or not they can legally sell them, is another story. Post on the tying forum, and see if you can find what you need.

Have a "friend" that trades them - ain't cheap. Pour with Do-it, Hilts, and Ament - collar no collar any blade. Matzuo and VMC hooks.

You might try doing your own custom jigs - not real hard. Sure that satdoc1 can hook you up.

You can get into it for around 200.00 to get set up. Lead pot , mold, hooks, swivels, split rings and blades. All can be purchased from www.barlowstackle.com.

Do you have to modify the mold to use sickle hooks?

I ran a few rounds with the sickle hooks and had to make a little cut for the hook point but it was very easy to do.

I have used #4 and #2 sickle hooks on the 1/16th cavity and I did not have to make an alteration. It is a Do-It mold.CF

If you get up to a 1/0 like I use you do a small modification for the hook point to fit. Other than that NO.
