    Default Kindle or Nook??

I know nothing about these things but my wife wants one for her birthday. I have no idea why as she has hundreds of books laying around she has never read. But easy me will probably get her one so she can have hundreds of books in it she never reads.
Anyways can anyone tell me what I need to get her? I don't want the most expensive but I don't want junk either. (or do I)

My daughter has a Kindle account with Amazon, she has let me access her account and I have Kindle for Mac so I can read her books too. She started with a Kindle then bought an iPad and gave her Kindle to the teenage daughter of a friend and does her reading on the iPad and says no comparison. I don't like reading on my mac and was going to get a Kindle, price, and she talked me into getting the iPad which I am waiting for the iPad 2, hoping for an April release. My son and step-daughter also have iPads and all of them love them. I know it is more money but you also get a lot more device. With a Kindle account I think you can have up to 5 devices for reading on that 1 account and I think Amazon will allow you to "loan" a book out, don't know how that works. At present don't have any ereader just use my mini.

Paul got me the Nook color for Christmas and I love it. Nice big screen (not as big as iPad but bigger than Kindle) It has built in wi-fi and a microSD card slot. I can download books directly to the nook or download to pc and then transfer. I haven't used it for magazines yet. Check this site for some discussion on the Nook Forum - Nookboards - Index

Thanks for the link Vonna. I think I can go to Best Buy and compare the 2.

I have a Kindle and really like it. I've looked at the others and the Kindel screen is easier to read on.

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.
