    Default Water temps?

Does anyone know what the water temps are in Lake Catouatche or Lake Salvador? Also wondering about water temps at Venice? Coming down to watch the Classic and thinking of going to Venice and try and catch some redfish!

    Hey Odie -
Couldn't get exactly what you wanted, but this should be close enough.
At 6PM the water in the Houma Navigation Channel at Dulac was 47 degrees.
At 7:24 PM the water in Barataria Pass at Grand Isle was 43 degrees.
And you can safely bet that north of those points - and in the river-effected areas below Venice - are a tad chillier than those are!
The site you need to scrutinize is USGS Water Data. Get it, then clilck on Real-time data, then again on the image of Louisiana, and finally on the button where you want the data from. Good scoop!
    Bon chance!

Go to Frank Campo's Marina - Home Page and you can catch all you want off the side of the road.

Didn't know they had temps on any of those stations. Cypremort Point is the nearest one to me that I could find. Couldn't tell how deep they were reading. Thanks for the tip.

    Lessee Benjo -
After googling USGS Water Data, clicking on Real-time Data, clicking again on Louisiana, and once more on the button where you want the info, you should be able to scroll down until you hit the temp graph. However, it seems that this info is not available for every button (Site). Can't do anyting about that. This site is just a little help if it hits the right spots.
    Hope it helps you.
