Welcome from Ohio. Will the Browns get an OC? Anyway, I have not fished Reelfoot but generally on a new body of water I fish points, dropoffs and wood cover for crappie. There is a thread at the top of the main crappie forum that shows basic diagrams for rigs as well as knots. I am usually fishing a slip float rig for the shallow bite and a dropshot or tightline rig for the deep drop offs. I use the jigs I make tipped with a minnow head or waxie for scent. I also use Jilly Jelly Jigs and 1.5" soft plastic minnows dipped in slab sauce that you can get here on crappie.com

Best all around colors are chartreuse & black; chartreuse & aqua; chartreuse & white; chartreuse & pink. That will get some bites.
That is what works for me. Hope it helps some.

Nice tip Speck....Hahahaha. Yay I've been the past 4 years but we always go in March. Wasn't sure where to fish in April. But yes I am definitely aware of those stumps.

    Thanks,
    Dom

Yep its basically a 16,000 acre Cypress swamp and wall to wall stumps. And the water is lower than normal.....so its really shallow.

Tip 5; What ever week you go, you should have been there the week before, or the next week after you leave, the fish will be jumpin in the boat.
