Al Linder drops Shimano for Quantum ?

Watched the new Anglers Edge with the Linders and now after all the years with Shimano they are now useing and plugging Quantum reels Last year they dropped Berkley products after years of haveing them as a sponser. Are the Linders dropping these guys or are the companies dropping the Linders ? Hard to listen to them talk up Quatum reels after all the years of Shimano. Not saying Quantums a bad reel just seems odd.:rolleyes:

Probably contract came to an end and the Lindners were looking at ratings that were probably higher than at the beginning of the contract and wanted more money in the next contract. Shimano probably said no and quantum stepped up and said they would pay it. Its all about the money in that game. Roland Martin sponsored the rocket rod for gosh sakes. I spect they have higher standards than him though.:DCF

Wally Marshall should have gotten a raise from BPS for all the panfish sales he generated over the years. Might be why he left them.

I love all the guessing about WM and BPS, and who dropped who. I've seen 20 different possibilities. I think it's safe to speculate that the Mr. Crappie name is established enough that he can make enough money being out on his own. He'll be in the drivers seat.

As for the Linder move to Quantum. I can tell you right now the 15 shimano reels I have are going into the trash can, I make all my purchases based on the Linder family!!! Quantum here we come!

Here are some other projects for you:

1) Master Shaw Grigsby's "squeal-like-a-little-girl" routine.

2) Answer every question posed to you with, "Sonnnn!" (a la Roland Martin.)

3) Scream a lot and breakdance whenever you catch a fish (Mike Iaconelli.)

4) Act as dumb as possible every time you catch a fish. (Fish Fishburne.) On second thought, a better way to imitate Fish would be to just act as dumb as possible 100% of the time.
