    Question Lake Shelbyville report

Has anyone been on Lake Shelbville in the last week
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.

Fishing has been good the catching not so good. Will catch a lot more short fish than you will keepers. I did not have much luck yesterday and eerybody I talked to was having a tough time getting keepers. With the rain we had last week the lake is up a little and is fairly clear in the middle and southern parts. Conditions should be good but the crappie have not been told.

I'm going to give it a shot anyway.
    Today Wolf creek.
    Tomorrow Whitley creek.

It would be real cool if you could keep me somewhat informed as the fall turns into winter. I will try and do the same.
    Thanks!

    Default short day

Just got back from the water. Put in at Wolf creek after I dropped the kids off for school this morning.

Had my wife and 20 month old daughter with me. Between those two and the rain that was'nt supposed to be here until this afternoon.
It was a short day. Started raining about 9:00 and never really quit.
Caught 7 fish with only one being a keeper but, it was a 12 incher.
Not enough to grease the skillet so I released it.
Tomorrow I will try my luck at Whitley creek. No wife and kids tomorrow so I will fish in the rain till noon and head home to get ready for work.

You did better than I did yesterday. I plan on being out tomorrow may just try north end. Check the railroad bridge. If you see a blue Ranger dual console with 150merc is probably me. I have not fished the north half of the lake any this year..that is probably where all the fish are. What did you catch you fish today on?

Good luck tomorrow...maybe won't rain. Weather.com saying 10 % chance of rain. I'm going to try to get out before 8 in the morning. Hopefully I can drag my self out early....LOL

Caught my fish on white curly tail grub, made by riverside.
I thought there was more than a 10% chance of rain tomorrow, so you gave me some good news there. On the other hand if I could catch fish in the rain, it would be like a sunny day to me.

You have a blue ranger? Blue happens to be my favorite color
    I also have a ranger, 2001 17' Cherokee, white and blue, with a 25hp yamaha 4 stroke.

I wished I could have afforded a fiberglass boat with a big motor but, with 3 kids it just was'nt going to happen. With this boat though, I can really get up into the nasty stuff.

I hope to be on the water by 7.00am tomorrow.
Maybe our paths will cross? If not let me know how you did.

Do either of you fellows know what the winning numbers were last Saturday (Springfield Crappie Club Buddy Tourney). We fished until about 1:30, caught several short fish, no keepers. Left early so didn't get results.

Put in at Whitley Creek today at 8:30 am fished till 1:30 pm
Caught about 18 with only 2 keepers.
I did catch a big one though on a white beetle spin 14 incher.
    Realeased both keepers.
