very good hunting!

Was wondering if some one could tell me if eastern ok. is good deer hunting and what the tags cost and when does bow season and gun season open in 2011. I have a freind who own 12000 acres and go to try and go this year! any help is great!!!
Bow - October 1st - January 15th = $280.00.
Muzzleloader - Approx. October 23rd for nine days = $280.00.
Gun - Saturday before Thanksgiving for sixteen days = $280.00.
and if you want to hunt other small game $75.00 for 5 day or $176.00 annual.
The regs. and fees recently changed and I'm not sure what each $280.00 license allows you to harvest. Used to be something like $206.00 for one deer or $256.00 for two, one antered and one antlerless.
Opportunity to hunt 12k acres in eastern OK for this cost. Shoot yes!

pretty far trip for a turkey. I have probley the best spot in the state to turkey hunt that a close freind owns! so doudt i go to ok for a turkey. You should come here and hunt some big birds. NO problem to see 100+ a day!!!!!
You should definately find some nice deer on a 12,000 acre plot. About 5 of us hunt 500 acres and we always pull at least 2 nice bucks out of it every year (150 class range). Bow season is more fun and challenging, but your best chance for a nice buck around here is probably muzzle loader or early gun. Nothing beats the pre-rut.
