Default Our New Lake is filling up finally...pics

Been wating on this lake 30 years. Worse, been paying taxes on it for 20. Finally gonna come true. 1000 acres lake about 5 miles away...... I marked some waypoints today.
    Three pumps are running 24/7.

They already put some fingerling fish in the lake. Don't know what type fish yet. Just fish. This should be a good lake in time.

Maybe I will live long enough to fish the some.

It'll be pretty cool when you can scan some of those areas, and post comparison pics.

Biologists say the first 8 years of an impoundment's life are the most productive. All the big lakes we fish are well past their heyday. Pretty cool to be able to walk around with a gps and mark the future structure.

I would most definately be marking every feature on a map and taking pictures, save time later trying to find them with a sonar unit. Went and looked on the net for info on it and according to the site it's being stocked with bass, bluegill, sunfish, catfish and crappie. Shouldn't take long to start producing some fish.
