Default Stump Jumper vs. Road Runner

I have read a few threads about Road Runners, but haven't seen much on Stump Jumpers. Do you guys prefer one over the other? Bass Pro has the Stump Jumpers a little cheaper. Any thoughts?

I have to agree with you.
I see absolutely no diff. between the two.
I was just getting ready to order more road runners.

I think that the are the same one just has BPS on it. If you have the Outdoor rewards point program I would by the BPS ov the road runner beacuse you get more money back towards other purchases.

I have some of both in the tackle box now. Seem to be about the same. Both catch fish very well. If there is a difference the fish don't seem to mind.

I always thought the Road Runner had a better swivel on the blade and had a little better action.

I like the fact that you can buy just the heads with the Roadrunners though.
    Cheaper yet.

    Exclamation I've used both .....

and found the Roadrunner blades did, in fact, spin better & more often than the "knockoffs" or the Stumpjumper brand. But, I haven't used anything but RR's in many years ... so, improvements could have been made.

I'm with FisherMike ... I like the fact that the "heads" can be purchased in 10pk or 25pk "bulk" packaging.

I also like the "Pro" model RR head ... that comes with a Willow Leaf blade.

EB ... that's the very reason I've continued to use RR's, and the others are left in the tacklebox.

Ore Slabman ... Stump Jumpers are a BPS brand ... and BPS is "listed" as a site Sponsor -- BUT, click on any of the items on the BPS sponsor page, and you get this: "This merchant is no longer participating in the affiliate program". One would assume, from this, that BPS is no longer a supporting Sponsor of Crappie.com. Whether or not BPS is still supporting Crappie.com is questionable ... but, they are still a good source of products.

    .........cp

Personally, I like the color choice better with Road Runners and I can get the 1/32 oz size that I use more often.
