    Question Falcon Rods ?


    Had a gift card to Academy Sports:D, so went to look at a new rod, found a Falcon 6ft, light FS-L1- 16 , that looked good , so I got it , going to put a Pflueger Microspin that I have on it, Any of you use or have used Falcon rods ??? made in GOOD OLD USA !!!!!
    are they anygood ? it looks and feels good to me, but have not fished with it yet but will, any input or reel combo that you guys like , anyway THANKS

    I have 2 very old (meaning over 10 years and more like 15-20) and love both of them and are fine rods. I don't know how much they are now, but way back then I believe they were like $60. If anything like mine then don't worry, they are really good!

    Thanks Skip, this one was $79 but had the gift card and just liked the feel of it, so I got it ,cash now thats a diff. thing ,LOL would she go OFF !!!!!!!!

    I have a Falcon noodle rod 10ft. at least 15yrs. and they quit making them. I have a shimano ultra light on it and it is the only pole i will use 4lb line on.I have landed some nice crappie with it.Paid over a $100 for the Rod and reel. Light as a feather. Made in the USA.

    got the same rod pflueger supreme 8030 reel, its my go to combo

    My wife lets me buy all the rods and reels I can hide.

    My favorite rod is a Falcon 7' Gulf Spin in Medium Light action. Supersensitive, with light tip and plenty of backbone.

    Falcon was discontinuing them and I bought several of them. Great crappie rods

    I have a 7' Falcon Low Rider crankin rod. It's about 10 years old was used to catch green carp back in the day. Collecting dust now. Seemed like a nice rod when I used it though.
    I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.
