    Default shooting docks?

Is there any benefit to using hi vis while shooting docks or is it mainly for trolling, spider rigging tightlining etc?

Sure there is good reason especially when dock shooting because many guys shoot their jigs under the dock and are using a small jig for he slow fall and just look for their line to jerk/jump when they get a hit.

Exactly right, if you shoot your jig the right way, you will be back under the structure, and most of time you strike will be on the slow fall of the jig. Which is way easier to detect with high vis line.

Agreed, a crappie can be shy biter from time to time. The days when he thumps it, anyone can catch them. It's the other days when guys don't know they are getting bit is when hi vis line can make a difference. Combine it with a good graphite rod and you can both see and feel a lot of hits.

Thanks a lot guys, I my thinking about the high vis line was all wrong. I was thinking it would be used for trolling when the line is hard to see especially a shy biting crappie. This site is great. Lots of folks full of knowledge and willing to share. Thanks guys! I am going to get some vicious his vis 6lb, I am thinking it should work well with a 1/32oz jig.

Shooting docks I see as many hits as I feel and hi-vis line is critical to that.

Does the line dissapear in the water or are the fish not concerned with it?? Seems that crappie that are fished on the docks all the time would be very shy to baits when they can see line pulling them through the water.

    gtb.

    thanks again.
