Think spring- think longlining- think Southern Pro Hot Grubs- so what colors are your "go to" colors? I would never leave home without Junebug, YellowJacket, John Deere, Blue Shiner & Orange Crush- am I close?

Well when Spring is coming I do think long lining, but I use Roadrunners in 1/32 Oz. about 95% of the Spring and have been doing that since I stumbled in to trolling with my troll motor about 1978. I will give up every soft plastic bait I own if a choice between them and marabou tail Roadrunner every time. I usually start spring with a Chart/Blue/Chart because our lake is more stained then that it is a bit later. Sometime in April or can be earlier if it clears some before that I use to go to a Silver/Blue/White, but last year I had so much good luck using the RR in my Sig I will go there again this spring once it clears some and maybe before just to see. I do have some better colors in the body material this year so may just go to one of mine with a blue body, just in that material.
I have guys on this lake that only buy my Silver/Blue/White hackle jigs all year. It's a heck of a great combo, but I like starting out with the chart/blue/chart or the FL Red/Green/FL Yellow too is also great and that was my original color that I started with in 1978 and still use it today.
I can use the 1/32 in any water under 20' and very good from 14' to 3'.
This year I do also plan on some zonker type ones to use too.
