    Default Favorite Crappie line

In the search for the perfect line i will be using at least 3 diffrent lines this year for various set ups. Got some 6lb silver thread, some pline, and some flourocarbon. Been using xl in 6lb for years time to try something new. Whats your line of choice? Anyone use any of the copolymer lines for crappie?

I really like the P-line, 4lb, Xtra-Strong??? I think. Has the red/black label. It's all I've used the last couple of years.

I've been using 6 lb Ironsilk the last two years on my ULs. I keep 14 lb Ironsilk on my multi-species rig. It's limp, twists are easier to pull out when they occur (whichis rarely) and I don't have many breakoffs. - Roberta

I have recently been using Berkley Sensation 4lb and really like it. I believe that I will use the 6lb when I respool for april. The sensation has a very small diameter, the 4lb is like a thin sewing thread so I might try the 6 just so it would be easier to handle.

Exclamation depends on how I'm using it ......

    I use:
BPS Excel clear/blue in 4lb test
    Trilene XL clear/blue in 4 & 6lb test
Iron Silk Solar Mint in 4 & 6lb test
Trilene Premium Strength Photochromic in 4lb test
PowerPro braid Yellow in 10/2 (10lb test/2lb diameter)

I cast 95% of the time ... and I'm a line watcher - so the Iron Silk & PowerPro are my main lines of choice. But, I've had no appreciable problems from the other lines mentioned, either (other than being hard to see).

I've heard good reports on Silver Thread, McCoy's Mean Green, and Ande lines ... but have never used them.

(copied from a previous post) .............. cp

For mono I like the Stren HiVis Gold 4 pound. Seems to be more supple than the clear blue Stren with less memory. Plus it's easy to see for line watching. Also I like the PowerPro 10/2 braid.
