I use a Jon-e hand warmer. It looks like a big Zippo. They work great. You fill them with lighter fluid and light it and It's flameless. It comes in a flannel pouch, open the pouch to make it hotter, close it to make it cooler.
Looking for feedback from those have used them.

I love my Zippo lighters but in really cold weather it seems the fluid freezes up and won't light till you get it inside to warm up. How the heck they make the hand warmer work for 12 hours I don't know
magic
Used one before, work great but you smell the lighter fluid, didn't like that . We use the disposables shake the bag and it gets warm, no smell. You can get them pretty cheap at the big stores after the winter, stock up for next year.

x2 on the disposables. I have a zippo and it doesn't work as good for me. I have a small buddy heater that runs off the little propane bottles that works great too.

x2 My buddy heater is the best thing since sliced bread. It hasn't let me down yet.
I wear mittens, best thing since sliced bread. I never use hand warmers unless you count under my arm pits or between my thighs, or in my coat pockets. I dont use any hand/foot warmers when I winter camp either.
