    Red face Best Jigs


    I was wondering what everybodies favorite "go to" jigs are? What do you guys use to long line with in the spring time shallow water?

    In spring we use Yum 2" Beavertails and Crappie Pro 3" Wasshoppers on 1/8-1/4oz. heads....big profile baits = big crappie.

    RoadRunner with Turbo Tails is my go to every time...but cant wiat to try Souther Pro Stingers on a RoadRunner this spring...heard great things about those bodies

    Absolutely! I try to turn as many people onto 1/8th oz jigs as I can but most seem to think smaller is better. I've done very well on 1/8th #1 sickle hook jigs, and #1 regular hooks before sickles were available.

    I agree southern pro jigs and my home made jig heads with #2 sickles sizes 1/32 1/24 1/16 if you need hooks give me a pm i will hook you up

    I use my hand tied Marabou Roadrunners in the spring and that will be about 95% of the time then.
