    What size jig head is best for vertical jigging submerged stumps and laydowns in 3 to 8 ft. of water

    I like to use a 1/16th for most applications, but generally jig a little deeper than what you mentioned. For jigging shallow water like your talking about I would go with a 1/32nd, but "different stokes, for different folks"

    i would say 1/32 but if its a windy day go go with 1/16

    I did purdy good with a 5/8 oz tipped with a minner. Jimfish in Ms gave me some. Look like cannon balls.

    1/16 in that depth works well for me,have went to an 1/8 if the wind gets up.

    I like a 1/16 or 1/32. The lighter the jig, the better!
