If you Google "drop shot", you'll find tons of info. Do the same on Youtube. There are plenty of good videos on it.
I've never been a high tech fisherman just a simple minnow fisherman. Never had a boat mostly fished from the bank. I've been using a small Gamefisher boat that was given to me a couple of years. Really enjoyed it. Excited about BIG slabs I've purchased a fishfinder and a new boat and even became a member of Crappie.com to learn more about crappie. I've seen many set-ups but not the techniques on how to use the set-ups. How does "drop shot" work? I would like to learn more about other techniques that will help me catch those BIG slabs!!
Thanks, Shakynerves

Now you need to get experience.
Wally Marshall has 2 good videos and my buddies here have some good ones too.
My mentor, Ernest Paty will tell you more in his than you can soak in at one time in his video:
"Crappie 101"
Paul & Jerry have 5 out now that are pretty good.
You can get them from my other buddy JayDon:

Crappie are very water temp conscious...and structure oriented...
Find comparable structure on your fishing water with you what you read in the article and then apply the technique you want to experiment with in/around/over/thru/ that structure that you target.....
