Hi Teck set-up question

I am in the process of setting up a new set of Hi Teck holders on my boat. My question is does anybody do anything to their holder bars to prevent the holders from sliding off in case they should loosen up? I was thinking about drilling a small hole and putting a #6 bolt and lock-nut on the ends of each bar. If anybody is going to lose one of the holders, it is likely to be me.
Any ideas?

I just put a lock nut on the bolt provided. Never had one come loose.

If you have it tight it want come loose the lock washer sounds good if you are worried
