It's the pump you turn on when you find out your boat has a leak! It takes the water from in the bottom of the boat and pumps it out!:D
Bigbass91, it is that sound you want to hear when the grand-kids are not around to "BAIL" you out in a hard rain, or you left the drain plug out... Just a small note we all had to learn by seeing or by asking questions.... Have fun and take a child fishing.

No a stupid question is one that is not asked.
Some boats have a manual pump and then some have a auto and a manual. Look on the console for a switch that is marked belge pump and turn it on should hear it run.
Mine is a auto or manual when the water leve gets up from rain or water coming over the transom. A float will kick it on and it pumps the water out by its self.
