Default Lowrance Free Enhanced Digital Lake Maps

While surfing the net and reading other fishing sites I found this GEM.

Those of you that are using Lowrance Depth Finders/GPS screens may be interested in this.

Especially if you are going to crappie camp in March/April this year.

I saw an enhanced lake map for Lake Greeson. It's free for those that can use this type of digital map.

It had an .at5 file ending which I could not open.

I check that at least once a week. Keep hoping to see Kerr Lake in Virginia there.

Sure wish Humminbird would offer this. I have been thinking about ordering the map for my 987c SI but for pickwick I have to have 2 different maps. And not knowing what they show I sure hate to pay that much for them.

Looks good in my Ifinder H20....now if I could swing the trip to
Crappie Camp to use it...would be even better.

    Hey Stevem:

Follow your motto and come on already!

The Lowrance Enhanced Lake Map for Greeson is pretty good. Great for navigation and OK for finding channels, humps and points.
    FISH ON!

While researching the net for a GPS I found that info also. I went with a Lowrance H2O for that reason. Looks like real nice maps for free.

Tommy..it's easy ..but to do it you have to have an MMC card reader/writer and an MMC card. If you have those just download the map from the Lowrance website and then plug your card reader into a USB port and click and drag the map to the drive the reader is plugged into. Once it tells you the data has transferred just put the MMC card into your H2O unit and it reads the map automatically from the card. The card has to stay in your GPS unit for the map to work. I got my MMC card reader and card with Mapcreate 6.3 ...don't know where to get it individually...probably from a Lowrance dealer or website. It also says the Lowrance GPS unit must have a card from Lowrance to be compatable..I guess that means you can't just go to Best Buy or someplace like that and buy any old card.

office max -walmart and other retail carry the mmc card that will work as I bought one and using it in my Lowrance I Finder. You can also get the card reader at these places also. They have several different memory sizes I would get the largest size if you fish several different lakes.

I got my MMC card and reader off E-bay.
I use the card in my Lowrance GPS. Works fine for the updates.
