    I am just wondering what fishing line you guys are using. I figure around 4-6 lb. test but which brand is a good one and shoiuld i get mono.

    I use 10# Suffix Braid for casting/pitching.
    20# Braid with 10# Stren Mono Leaders for verticle drop-shot fishing.
    It's not for everyone and takes patience to learn.
    Use what gives you confidence and the fish will bite.

    10lb braid for everything. No leaders, and the crappie don't care.
