    They would work for spidder rigging or on a jig pole. dont think I would be casting with it.

    I agree should make a great little reel for long rods when rigging and if light weight enough would work for dipping rods also. I have been using the Quantum Optix for a few years now with zero problems. They run from $15 to $23 depending on where you get them.
