Default Winter is for deep fishin'

Here on the main lake at Stockton. I know some don't really know if they should believe the fish are so deep. Here is a school of crappie from 40 ft to the bottom.
They were actually a little shallower today. We also found some on the bottom at 74' but I didn't think to take a picture. Good fishin'

Nice fish, JR. I have never fished that deep for crappie. Good post. Thanks.

Great pic JR. We were catching them from 33-39 feet of water New Years Day. They were biting VERY light. You really had to pay attention to you rod tip and line. That "Money Green Tip" on my Outlaw rod you sold me at Grizzly a couple of years ago really helped!
By the way, I also hauled a 6 pound catfish off the bottom that same day with my Outlaw and 6# line.:D
