    Default Truman 1/6/11

Well got to the ramp about 12:00, some guys had limited by the time we got there! So much for only an afternoon bite. So we thought great the afternoon bite is going to be great! Caught 3 or 4 then they shut down. Searched hi and low could not buy a bite. At 4 pm we had 4 fish for 3 guys, not good, trying to reason with why? Water is dropping, wind is blowing harder, one guy said the bite quit when the wind picked up. Wind starts to lay about 4:00 pm, 4:05 pm toss a yellow/white, slab buster under a cork 4' deep against a stump and the cork sunk!!!! 13" crappie, by 5:00 pm we had 39 good keepers off that stump!! The wind went clear flat at 5:00 PM and the bite did to! What a great day the fish God has blessed us with again! Tomorrow might be last decent day for a while. Good luck to all!!

Is that the one stump in the water next to the steep gravel bank off the main creek channel? If so I've fished it before and had similar success! Great Job!!!!

Wow, 39 keepers off of one stump! Awesome. Hope you hit a waypoint for that badboy.
We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish
