Welol Nicole and I got out to the lake around 1000 this morning and we were the only boat out on the water. Had to break a lil ice to start fishing but started catching fish a few minutes later. Ended up with 25 crappie. Orange and chareuse and blue/charteuse were the colors that worked for us. First time Nicole has winter fished and she did really well.

Musta been tough with that ice on the water. Sounds cold. Congrats on a good catch though.

Still a little cool but turned out to be a decent day. Glad you all caught some fish and had a fun day.

Well, you did better than my partner and I did. We were on the water about 10, went out of Shawnee Bend fishing the bluffs. We caught 3 nice fish pretty quick, then they just got lockjaw. The wind got up, so we went looking for a spot out of the wind. We probably saw 20 boats with the same idea. We ended up in a cove that always produces, and the fish were stacked in there, but we never got another bump. Still better than watching Opra.

Good work indeed. One to remember for sure. Congrats!
We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish

Sounds like you brought Nicole along to break up the ice but it sounds like she put a whoppin on the fish. Twenty five is a nice basket of fish.

Thanks for the report. Guess I'll give it a go in the morn.
