    Default Stockton one fine day

It was a cold and bitter wind, a choppy water under my seat, but onward I say.

arround the corner I go and not much action, fish appeared to be in 30 to 35ft of water but they did not want to bite, crap! talked to dongotto and his buds, they were doing pretty good, but said the bite had quit. crap

well off to my favorite cedar tree, it is in 40 ft of water, crap not a bite, now what,

what would a crappie do to get away from me. hummm let me see. oh yea. found a big school of shad and started to work the darn things, caught about 5 and rick fishback and his buddy carver came by said howdy, how is it going bam no. 6 so they dropped anchor and joined me, well 3 hours later and 45 keeper crappie I head home, Miss Sharon is going to like this call, opps no phone, it is on the scanner, crap, rick says I can use his, Miss Sharon is not home, I call her cell I want to let her know to get the knife ready,

wait till you hear her excuse why I am not having fried chicken and taters/gravy and hot rolls for supper,,,,,, ready, honey I can not get the knife and dinner ready I am at the hospital your about to be a grand dad again, yep oldest daughter is having her first child. Jig color was pear/black specks, red/green, depth was 35 to 40 ft deep and the fish were right on the bottom, reel up a turn or two and bam fish on

hope the kid is ok, I am getting updates about every hour. its a girl if all goes well, or so they told her long time ago.

Looks like a bonus day for you, a limit of crappie and a new grand baby. Sounds like all the crappie were at the buffet line.

I would hate to be a crappie when Beagle is on the hunt. He never quits.
Nice day Beagle. Your kicked butt again.

thank you all, it was tough , then it was not, I forgot to mention I caught one that was 13 3/4 a big ole white and had several over 11, man they are eating good, I seen shad that would just black out the screen.
